Parma’s extensive experience in car park construction has led to three additional recent contracts for car park projects. The previous successes of the multi-story, precast frame and composite level car parks in Espoo and Palajankulman were contributors to these new contracts.
The first new project is with the construction group Skanska for a residential car park for 92 cars in Kauniainen. Skanska’s purchasing manager Pasi Lamminen confirmed that the choice of supplier was based on previous successful collaboration. The second contract involves a residential car park in Pajala for 109 cars. Here, Parma’s contract includes frame design, the production of precast elements and delivery, including the installation of composite castings.
“We have had good experience with Parma in the past…” Project Manager Juha Jalonen Pohjola Building Uusimaa Oy said, “…the advantage of their system is long spans and less pillars, which facilitates parking for drivers and traffic flow”.
The third and biggest contract is for a 240-space car park in the centre of Espoo. The project is a turnkey project delivered for YIT Construction Ltd. “Our past good experiences with the Rose Park and Jousenpuisto parking lots were an important factor in the choice of supplier for us. We needed a reliable manufacturer but also flexibility for optimized risk management” said Petri Saarinen, Construction Manager at YIT Construction Ltd.
