Consolis Group announces Eduard van der Meer as CEO and Denis Van Roey as Interim CFO
The Board of Directors, led by Patrick Mathieu, is pleased to announce that Eduard van der Meer has been appointed Chief Executive Officer (CEO), from 1 April 2025. Eduard has been serving as interim CEO since January 1, 2025, and will now continue to lead Consolis in a permanent capacity. He will be accompanied by Denis Van Roey as Interim Chief Financial Officer (CFO) who starts 10 March 2025.
With a strong board and leadership team now in place, Consolis is well positioned for its next phase of development.
Eduard van der Meer brings extensive experience in industrial leadership and operations. Prior to taking on the CEO role, he was Managing Director of the Dutch subsidiary Consolis VBI, where he played a key role in strengthening the company’s operations and market presence.
“I am honored to take on the role of CEO at Consolis and continue leading this great company,” says Eduard van der Meer. “Consolis is well-positioned for the future with its strong industrial platform, commitment to sustainability, and skilled workforce. I look forward to working closely with the team to accelerate our growth, strengthen innovation, and expand our offering of low-carbon precast solutions.”
New experienced interim CFO with deep industry knowledge
Joining Eduard in leading Consolis, Denis Van Roey steps in as interim CFO. With more than 30 years of experience in international business, finance, and operational transformation, Denis has held senior leadership roles in Vinventions, Armacell, and HeidelbergCement, where he successfully led strategic transformations and financial growth.
“We are delighted to welcome Denis Van Roey to Consolis Group. His deep industry knowledge, leadership experience, and strategic mindset will be valuable assets as we continue strengthening our position in the European precast concrete market,” says Patrick Mathieu, Chairman of the Board.
A strong foundation for the next phase
Following a successful refinancing of Consolis Group in November 2024, which significantly reduced the company’s debt, the newly structured Board of Directors brings together renowned executives from the construction industry and experienced directors in the governance of industrial companies. This strong governance foundation supports the group’s continued development and strategic direction.
“The board will support the new leadership in implementing a growth strategy that capitalizes on Consolis’ widely recognized technology and recent sustainability innovations, including the Green Spine Line®, a portfolio of low-carbon precast products.,” says Patrick Mathieu.
“With these appointments, Consolis now has a strong and well-balanced board and leadership team in place to execute the company’s strategic roadmap for growth as the construction market evolves. Our focus remains on delivering high-quality, sustainable precast solutions and ensuring that our subsidiaries are well-positioned to meet growing local industry needs,” he adds.
