Consolis Green Spine Line® expands to seven markets: Estonia launches low-carbon precast walls
Consolis Group is further solidifying its position as a sustainability leader in the construction industry with the launch of a low-carbon precast inner wall by E-Betoonelement, its Estonian subsidiary. This innovation is part of Consolis’ Green Spine Line® product portfolio, which focuses on developing, certifying, and marketing sustainable precast concrete solutions.
The newly launched inner wall element, suitable for partition walls or as the inner layer of sandwich facade elements, achieves a 20% reduction in carbon dioxide emissions compared to the local industry average. This milestone reflects Consolis E-Betoonelement’s commitment to creating more environmentally friendly solutions through advanced concrete recipes that reduce cement use and incorporate alternative binders.
This launch makes Estonia the seventh of Consolis’ 17 markets to offer Green Spine Line® products, underscoring the group’s growing global progress in driving sustainable transformation.
“Our new Green Spine Line® certified inner wall element is a testament to E-Betoonelement’s ability to meet the growing demand for more sustainable construction solutions,” said Esa Mäki, Managing Director of Consolis Baltic Unit. “It enables our customers to reduce their environmental impact while maintaining the structural integrity and quality they expect.”
Commitment to Sustainability
This announcement highlights Consolis’ broader commitment to sustainable transformation across its markets. Earlier this year, Consolis’ near-term emissions reduction targets were validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), reinforcing the company’s dedication to reducing the climate footprint of the construction industry.
The Green Spine Line® portfolio has been steadily growing, with recent launches including Strängbetong’s low-carbon staircase, which offers a 30% reduction in CO2 emissions. With each product, Consolis reaffirms its commitment to providing sustainable options to its customers across Europe.
Environmental Transparency
Consolis E-Betoonelement ensures the environmental transparency of its products by equipping them with third-party Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs). These EPDs provide customers with detailed information on the environmental impacts of the elements, enabling informed decisions during the design and construction phases.
