Consolis publishes Annual and Sustainability Report for 2024

Consolis Group has today published its 2024 Annual and Sustainability Report, highlighting continued increase of our Green Spine Line® offering, continued progress of low-carbon innovation, and sustainability leadership, despite ongoing market headwinds across the construction industry.

“In 2024, we continued to deliver on our strategy – strengthening customer relationships, advancing sustainability, and creating value in each local market with the support of our exceptional teams,” says Eduard van der Meer, CEO, Consolis Group.

“As we step into 2025, I see strong momentum. With new shareholders, a renewal of the Board of Directors, a clear sustainability agenda, and a skilled workforce, we’re well equipped to accelerate innovation, grow our business, and support our customers with even more smart and low-carbon precast solutions,” says Eduard van der Meer.

The key highlights from 2024 include:

• Stronger financial position and new leadership

A 300 million EUR debt-for-equity swap and 115 million EUR in new liquidity significantly improved Consolis’ financial resilience. At the end of the year, there was also a change in leadership and a renewal of the Board of Directors, that combines renowned construction industry executives and directors with experience in the management of industrial companies.

• Strategic investments underway

The construction of a new cutting-edge precast facility began in the Netherlands to meet growing local demand and support future growth.

• Green Spine Line® expands to seven countries

Consolis’ certified low-carbon product portfolio is now available in Estonia, joining Sweden, Finland, the Netherlands, Spain, Denmark, and Norway. Green Spine Line® accounted for 38% of total precast production, resulting in 44,000 tons of direct CO₂ savings — a 33% increase of CO₂ savings from 2023.

• Science-based climate targets validated

The Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) approved Consolis’ near-term goals: reducing scope 1 and 2 emissions by 50% and scope 3 by 30% by 2032.

• Innovation and partnerships driving decarbonization

Collaborations with pioneers such as Nanogence, Paebbl, SaltX, and Betolar advanced low-carbon innovation, alongside active participation in EU-funded circularity projects like ReCreate and BETCRETE 3.0.

• Employee engagement and safety culture strengthened

Group-wide employee survey participation reached 83%, with continued focus on safety through Health & Safety Week and VFLSO (Visible Felt Leadership in Safety Observations).
