Consolis Tecnyconta launches TecnyHUB innovation center to drive low-carbon construction

Consolis Tecnyconta launches TecnyHUB innovation center to drive low-carbon construction.

Consolis Tecnyconta, in Spain, has inaugurated TecnyHUB, an innovation center dedicated to accelerating the sustainability transformation of the construction industry. Located at the company’s precast concrete plant in Tauste (Zaragoza), TecnyHUB brings together customers, suppliers, startups, technology centers, universities, public institutions, and the local community.

The purpose of TecnyHUB is to foster open collaboration and experimentation to develop precast concrete solutions and processes that contribute to reducing the environmental footprint of construction projects.

“By joining forces with our partners, such as material tech pioneers, and the community, we are making tangible progress in reducing carbon emissions and enabling more responsible construction projects,” says Marcelo Miranda, Managing Director of Consolis Tecnyconta. “TecnyHUB reflects our belief that sustainability is not just a goal—it’s a mindset embedded in our everyday work.”

The center includes a dedicated space for advanced concrete research, where a multidisciplinary team carries out extensive testing with different materials and technologies. These efforts aim to optimize the performance of concrete while lowering its environmental impact.

“TecnyHUB is a great example of how we constantly push boundaries and collaborate with customers and partners to develop and scale low-carbon building solutions,” says Eduard van der Meer, CEO of Consolis Group.

While TecnyHUB plays a key role in local innovation, it also complements Consolis Group’s broader sustainability efforts. Among these is the Green Spine Line®, a low-carbon product line already available in seven countries where Consolis operates. The product family has achieved verified reductions of up to 50 percent in CO₂ emissions compared to standard precast concrete.

Consolis continues to strengthen its leadership in sustainability construction through local innovation, global expertise, and cross-sector collaboration.
