Spenncon delivers elements to Hønefoss’ new theatre

Gledeshuset is a small theatre for revues, stand-up, concerts and different cultural events in Hønefoss. It offers a modern and permanent stage for shows, standup, concerts and various events in a hall accomodating up to 350 spectators. The entertainment center is a new landmark located on the riverside downstream of the great waterfall that gave name to the city itself.

Spenncon, Consolis’ Norwegian subsidiary, provided the concrete elements for the project. The main challenge was to put in place a fairly large theatre hall on a tiny little plot. After 5 years of planning, the building was completed after only 8 months construction time, during a harsh winter.
