NCC and Consolis in new cooperation agreement for decarbonized building materials – the partners hope to influence the industry
A new cooperation agreement between NCC, one of the leading construction companies in the Nordics, and Consolis in Sweden, states that Green Spine Line® elements always will be offered as an alternative in future construction projects. This promotes the use of decarbonized building materials in all projects.
“The cooperation agreement with NCC is an important step on the way towards decreasing the carbon footprint of future construction,” says Mikael Stöhr, CEO of Consolis. “We are determined to lead the sustainable transformation of our industry and we hope this agreement will set a new standard, where low-carbon products always should be offered.”

The contract covers Swedish Green Spine Line® products hollow core slabs, sandwich walls, semi-sandwich walls and solid walls.
In addition, NCC and Consolis have agreed to expand their collaboration on developing climate-enhanced products. The ambition is to find new innovative and cost-effective ways to reduce the climate impact of concrete elements and frames.
“Consolis and NCC have worked together in several projects over the last decade and there is a great opportunity to reduce carbon dioxide emissions from precast concrete products by at least 20% when using Consolis’ Green Spine Line® products“, says Dick Sjölund, Category Manager NCC.
Consolis is committed to the Science Based Target initiative (SBTi), to reach net zero global emissions by 2050 and is determined to lead the sustainable transformation in the industry.
