New product streamlines assembly

A new elevator shaft top makes assembly more efficient.

Usually, the tops of precast elevator shafts are made of four walls and one plate on top. Consolis Spæncom has designed a precast unit called “Elevatortop”, combining these five elements in one. The unit has lifting hooks beneath the top plate to ease the installation of the elevator. The solution is stable without bracings and does not require the casting of vertical joints on-site, which increases safety and reduces the assembly time. The innovative solution is currently being deployed for the first time for the Stationskvarteret project, a residential building located in the new sustainable district of Nærheden in Hedehusene, Denmark.
