Consolis acquires Tecnyconta to enter Spanish precast building market

Consolis Group, a leader in precast concrete solutions in Europe, announced today the acquisition of Tecnyconta, a precast concrete manufacturer based in Zaragoza, in northern Spain. Through this acquisition, Consolis intends to build up its presence in the Spanish precast concrete building end-market (in both residential and non-residential buildings). Founded in 1993, Tecnyconta is one of the leading precast concrete manufacturers in Spain. It employs more than 300 people and its annual revenues in 2017 were close to €40 million.

This acquisition is a new milestone in Consolis’ growth strategy. Over the past year, Consolis has already acquired Koskela Consulting, a building design office in Finland, and has signed a purchase agreement to acquire TMB Group, a specialist in precast concrete solutions for the building end-market in the Baltics and Northern Europe, which remains subject to regulatory approvals.

Commenting on the acquisition of Tecnyconta, Nicolas Yatzimirsky, Chief Executive Officer of Consolis, states:

“Our strategy at Consolis is to accelerate our growth both by strengthening our presence on existing markets and entering new fast-growing markets. In Spain, precast solutions enjoy sustained growth for non-residential buildings and we foresee further development for housing. Tecnyconta has long-term experience, technical and engineering know-how and an excellent reputation, which are solid ground for the expansion of Consolis in Spain.”

Marcelo Miranda, Managing Director for Consolis in Spain, adds:

“I wish to acknowledge the know-how of the teams and also want to pay a tribute to Emilio Garcès and its team for having built up this company, a robust and resilient one, and a leader in Spain. By bringing together the best expertise from both companies, the teams of Tecnyconta in Aragon will be able to better meet customers’ needs with a broader variety of innovative products, services and solutions.”
