Strängbetong chosen for two new office buildings in Stockholm

Strängbetong has been selected by the Atrium Ljungberg Company to provide elements for two new office buildings in Sickla, in the southeastern suburbs of Stockholm.

The construction will begin in Autumn 2016 and is expected to be finished the following year, which will coincide with the extension of the light rail line from Hammarby Sjöstad (closer to downtown Stockholm) to Sickla. The Swedish National Courts Administration will be one of the tenants.

Strängbetong will provide 21,000 m²  of walls and facades as well as 28,000 m² of hollow-core slabs, terrazzo stairs and landings. “Sickla is an area in which Strängbetong has already developed several projects, among which the Atlas Copco and Intrum Justitia’s headquarters,” explains Anders Lindberg, Business Manager at Strängbetong, “like these buildings, the two new office buildings will have beautiful brick facades originating from the Strängbetong production plant in Örebro.”
