Parma supplies facade elements for the Luminary future tallest residential building in Tampere.
The new 21-storey tower named Luminary will no doubt become a landmark in Tampere, Finland. The construction of Luminary, which will become the tallest residential building in the city, is expected to start in early winter 2017, with completion planned for spring 2019. The project combines Scandinavian design, Finnish sustainable architecture and modern building technology.
Parma will play a key role in the project as a supplier of the concrete facades. The project developer Skanska Oy selected Parma for its experience and know-how in designing and building complex and ambitious concrete facades, notably on high-rise projects like the Tampere Solo Sokos Hotel and the Helsinki Cirrus.
Architect Petri Tavilampi, from BST-Arkkitehdit Oy, explained that the facades would be made of milled white concrete, a qualitative, easy to care for, long-lasting material.
